
The Endowment Fund is a perpetual fund that provides grants to congregations and ministries of the English District of The Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod (LCMS) to support the following activities:
Campus Ministries – Programs to support students’ faith development and spiritual growth on campuses (e.g. college, university)
Human Care – The practical application of Christ’s love and mercy focusing on the whole person, meeting physical and spiritual needs
Disaster Relief – Addressing immediate and long-term needs following natural or manmade disasters
New Missions – Active planting of a new Lutheran church or a new ministry within a church to reach people with the Gospel
Other – Examples could include national youth rallies, curriculum, purchase of Bibles
Grant applications for the English District of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod Endowment Fund must be submitted using the form below.
Please note that maintenance and operating expenses and capital projects will not be considered for funding. Applicants could consider applying for capital projects to the Lutheran Church Extension Fund (Canada or USA).
Applications are reviewed by the Executive Staff of the District, the Endowment Fund Board of Managers and the English District Board of Directors (who meet quarterly).
A follow-up report must be sent to the English District upon completion of the project and the information may be used in publications and other communications of the LCMS English District.
